Hi Mookie,
Las Vegas will be happening Super Bowl weekend! The NFL cracked down on Las Vegas Super Bowl viewing parties a few years ago and some casinos no longer have Super Bowl parties to comply with the NFL's crazy rules... (remember them going after a church a year or so ago?). If you want to view the game in one of the sportsbooks, you will need to get some seats early in the morning and camp out until gametime.
A lot of the hotels do have private parties for some of their guests as a way around some of the NFL rules. I think that the best idea would be to try to get invited to a private viewing party at your hotel . Ask the receptionist during your check-in, the casino host where you sign-up for a card, or a pit boss at one of the table games. Of the three, the pit boss may be the best bet. If you can sustain some playtime at one of the tables, you might be able to acquire some invitations to a private viewing party... If you would rather have something set up in advance, there are some other options that I like.
Right now, I really feel that one of the best places to watch the game would be Emeril
LaGasse's Stadium. However, I am guessing that it might be sold out. You may want to call immediately if interested!
The Rockhouse will be having a huge party. It is a bit of a walk from Mandalay Bay, but is not too bad. They have $100 open bar packages, or $125 for open bar + all-you-can-eat. For info, check out:
this linkClose to the Mirage, Rhumbar is having a big party. Food and drinks are included for a $125 charge. Check out some info at
aaavegas.com.
You'd need a taxi or rental car, but the Crown Nightclub inside Rio is having a mega party! $50 entry or $100 entry with food + 2 drinks. You can get tickets at
this site. Also inside Rio,
McFaddens is having a $100 entry party.
Over at Planet Hollywood, for a price of $200 per person, you can party at Blondies. They still have some seats available at
their site. I wasn't overly impressed with them the last time that I was in there, but it is sure to be a fun, loud, college-style bar party!
The place that I would recommend is Cabo Wabo near Planet Hollywood. All-You-Can Eat Football Buffet: Nacho / Taco bar, Wings, Dogs $50 per person $20 Coors light buckets. You have to email a guy to get reservation info, but it would be worth the effort.
Cabo Wabo Cantina Las VegasI hope this helps! Let me know what you think.
