15 of my friends from university are beginning to plan our Vegas trip. The dates are officially May 6 leaving on the 11th, but as this is our first time we are having some trouble finding hotel deals. Thoughts? We want to be right on the strip.

How much are you looking to spend on rooms?  Since the economic downturn, some of the hotels have been reluctant to offer promos for dates more than a few months away.  A lot of the promos currently being offered are relatively short term...  There will be more promos covering your dates by early to mid-March which might be the best time to book.

At the moment, the Excalibur has a good deal currently running that would cover your dates and save your group a considerable amount of money.  Excalibur is on the strip and would be a good, reasonably priced home base.  MGM Grand is across the way.  Mandalay Bay is a tram ride away and New York New York is easily accessible and a great party place.  Luxor is right next door and has some cool clubs.

The Excalibur Bachelorette promo allows up to 4 people per room with no extra charges and has some nice extras including credit for alcohol & gambling, VIP nightclub admission, and 2-for-1 tickets to the popular Thunder From Down Under male review show.  Their tower room would be $650.70 (US Dollars) with all fees included for your dates using this promo.  With 4 ladies per room, this would come out to a little over $32.50 per person per night.

If the Excalibur promo does not appeal to you, I would advise keeping an eye on the Specials blog over the next couple of months for new promos to be released and current promos to be extended to cover your travel dates.  If you need any advice, have any questions, or need any specific info on anything, please do not hesitate to ask; I am happy to help!
