I turned off the activation process a long time ago... All that a user has to do is fill out the form and agree to the terms to become a member with regular posting privileges. An automated email is then sent to the new user with their login info and a link to their profile page, but it does not have an activation link..
The activation process does protect against spam.. However, I only see a few spam messages a month get posted and I usually delete anything spam-like within a few hours of it getting posted so the exposure is minimal.
I have tested the registration process and was unable to duplicate any issues. Your account has normal user privileges and does not require further activation. Please send me the notice and I will take a further look at the situation. If I can help out in any way, just let me know!
